From the rugby pitch to property: George Burgess joins Wealth Street

Premiership winner and former South Sydney Rabbitohs star, George Burgess, has joined forces with the dynamic team at Wealth Street, bringing his unique blend of skills and experiences to a new arena.

As with rugby, George has followed in his older brother Luke’s footsteps by joining the Wealth Street team.

Since his professional NRL debut in 2012, George has left an indelible mark on the sport of rugby. With stints at renowned clubs like the South Sydney Rabbitohs and the St. George Illawarra Dragons, he not only showcased his prowess on the field but also his innate ability to inspire and lead, both on and off the pitch.

A standout chapter in George’s journey was his role as a director on the Rugby League Player’s Association Board from 2015 to 2017. This position demonstrated his deep commitment to shaping the future of the sport he loves, further highlighting his leadership skills and dedication.

But being a talented athlete isn’t the only thing that sets George apart – he’s also a creative spirit, with passions for singing, acting, and art.

Venturing into the world of property investing

George’s journey takes a significant turn when he ventures into the world of property investing in his early twenties. This foray into real estate was more than just an investment opportunity; it was the spark that ignited a burning desire to assist others on their investment journeys. George’s firsthand experience in property investing provides him with invaluable insights into the world of finance and investment. 

Throughout his time on the rugby field, George never lost sight of his passion for property, and he’s now ready to channel that energy into helping others broker successful investments. He understands the importance of discipline, hard work and perseverance, which he believes are key ingredients for successful investments.
